Specific Area Guidelines

Elementary, Middle, and High Schools

  • Classrooms: Daily dusting, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming or sweeping floors. Sanitize high-touch areas like desks, door handles, and light switches.
  • Specialized Spaces (Band, Woodshop, Science Labs): Clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces after each use. For labs, follow specific protocols for handling and disposing of chemicals.
  • Gymnasiums and Cafeterias: Use appropriate cleaners for gym floors. In cafeterias, sanitize tables, chairs, and food service areas after each use.
  • Restrooms: Clean and disinfect multiple times a day, focusing on high-touch surfaces. Replenish soap and paper products regularly.

Multipurpose Classroom Buildings

  • Performing Arts and Technology Spaces: Dust and clean equipment and furniture regularly. Special attention to sanitizing shared equipment like musical instruments and tech devices.
  • Administrative and Dining Services: Regular cleaning of office spaces and thorough cleaning of dining areas, ensuring food safety protocols are followed.

Special Facilities

  • 800-seat Auditorium: Post-event cleaning, including seat sanitizing and trash removal. Regular maintenance of aisles and stage areas.
  • Computer Labs: Sanitize keyboards, mice, and workstations after each use. Keep the floor areas free of dust and debris.
  • Laboratories: Adhere to strict cleaning protocols, including the safe disposal of hazardous materials. Sanitize workstations and lab equipment meticulously.
